Straight answers before any work starts
You receive a written estimate that sets out materials, the scope of the work, how deck repairs are handled if we find damaged sheathing, and the warranty that applies. If a repair will do the job, we will say so. If it will not, we will explain why, with photographs.
Built for West Coast weather
Long, wet winters, moss, wind-driven rain and coastal exposure are hard on roofs. Proper underlayment, flashing and ventilation matter as much as the shingles you see. Learn more in our roofing education section.
Common questions
How much does a new roof cost on Vancouver Island?
The price depends on the size and pitch of the roof, the material you choose, how many old layers have to come off, the condition of the roof deck underneath, and details such as chimneys, skylights and access. Asphalt shingles are usually the most affordable option; metal and cedar cost more.
We give every homeowner a free written estimate after looking at the roof. For a quick idea first, try our instant roof estimate, which measures your roof from satellite imagery.
How is my house kept dry if it rains during a roof replacement?
We remove only as much roofing as we can make watertight the same day, and cover any open areas with underlayment or tarps before we leave. On Southern Vancouver Island, we plan each tear-off around the forecast and stop work if heavy rain or high winds arrive.
What should I do while I wait for an emergency roofer?
Move furniture and electronics away from the leak, catch dripping water in buckets, and lay towels down to protect floors. If water is near light fixtures or outlets, turn off power to that area at the breaker panel. Take photos of the damage for your insurance claim.
Can you hang Christmas lights on a two-storey house or a steep roof?
Yes. Our crew works at height every day and uses proper fall protection on two-storey homes and steep roofs. Sections that need extra safety equipment are priced on your quote before any work begins.
